Car Seat Headrest – Twin Fantasy (Face to Face)

Car Seat Headrest have been only going forward since their major label release Teens of Denial back in 2016 but have actually gone back and re-recorded their 2011 fan favourite Twin Fantasy. This was original recorded in Will Toledo’s bedroom and gained a small cult following as a lo-fi masterpiece, but now has be completely redone in all it’s hi-fi goodness. Clocking at 71minutes long with the average song length going well over 7 minutes (climaxing with the 16minute Famous Prophets) this album is a lot to digest but pretty soon you’ll be loving every bit of it.

Songs to check out: Bodys, Cute Thing, Beach Life-in-Death

Ought – Room Inside the World

The Montreal Post-Punks have gone for a change of pace with their electronic-influenced ‘Room Inside the world. Check this out for the constantly changing song structures and the emotive vocals of Tim Darcy, the bands lead singer.

Marlon Williams – Make Way for Love

The first time I saw Marlon Williams was at Splendour In The Grass Circa 2016 and was instantly blown away by how this man can croon. On his new record ‘Make Way for Love’ it is no different as he melts his way through song after song filled with luscious guitars and delicate vocals.
