When was the last time you were so captivated by a visual interpretation of a brand new piece of music?
What I’m referring to is a music video, and the latest offering by Brisbane-based four-piece Bloom Parade is what I’m caught up on right now, insert bouquet and confetti canon emojis.
The boys make up a sweltering shoegaze vibe through the dreamy hand-held footage for their new song ‘Reccuring Dream‘. Constant cuts back and forth between scenes act like a visual depiction for the type of angst you feel when you can’t find the words to explain what happened in your dream the night before. Directed and edited by Nick Hargans the video clip is a frustratingly beautiful mix between live performance and story-telling.
Fresh to the scene as a collective, Bloom Parade is made up of members who have done the rounds in Hardcore and Punk long before now. It’s nice to have the fresh breath of experience blow you away as this song is technically, structurally and lyrically dapper; A bedtime vision I hope to have re-occur on me every night.
